DAVID TUCKER
My creative spark was ignited back in 1970 as an exchange student in Wyoming, where I was given free reign of a studio for a year to produce whatever I felt like. Bliss! In 2023 after an enjoyable career elsewhere, I finally set about becoming an artist. 53 years of delayed gratification unleashed!
I primarily paint in acrylics including portraiture, abstract Landscapes and observations on life in NZ. I also sculpt in stone and wood using material found at Muriwai.
I love all aspects of the creative process and would try everything if I had time.
When I’m not creating, I spend time with my family and coach rowing.
